- Purpose-built village feel: While functional and convenient, Sestriere’s modern buildings don’t offer much in the way of classic Alpine charm.
- Older lifts in some areas: Certain parts of the Via Lattea network haven’t been modernized, so you may encounter slower lifts or older chairlifts.
- Variable snow lower down: Nearby resorts in the Milky Way (like Sauze d’Oulx) sit at lower altitudes, which can mean less reliable coverage if snowfall is poor.
